BlueFinn is… you guessed it, named after the dog(s)!

I have worked at different variety’s of grooming salons over the years, some will know me from working at a big chain company in Macclesfield, and then a smaller company in the heart of Handforth, Cheshire.

Animals have always played a big part through out my life. I have been grooming for 4 years as well as working and volunteering with animals for over 8 years.

Taking my knowledge and experience gathered over the years; BlueFinn is a compromise of all the best parts, jam packed into one salon!

As a teenager I began volunteering my time at rescue centers. I then went onto working at a boarding kennels based in Bredbury. However when the opportunity came up to become a fully trained dog groomer, I jumped at the chance… and I have never looked back!  

It’s very rare to find a job that you love, but this definitely the job for me.

I am a fully qualified in k9 first-aid. I have a Level 3 OCN qualification in Dog Grooming as well as completing courses in k9 behaviour and hand-stripping. I also attend Seminars dedicated to dog grooming, this keeps me up to date within the fast moving grooming trade.

In the salon all the products used are Vegan, Natural, Paraben Free and Cruelty Free. We also provide a hypoallergenic shampoo for those dogs with skin irritations.

I believe your pets should receive only the best treatment, products and experience here at BlueFinn.

Dog crates are provided for those more comfortable in one, both sides are open in design so that the dogs can look out, creating a more relaxed appeal. (You will often catch Finn taking a snooze in his!)

I try to keep a 'free roaming' atmosphere in the salon so that the dogs can mingle and play; this can also reduces stress. Its not just a grooming day to them… it’s a social event!
